So Much Paper

Hello all well here's the story so far. So much paper. Do you realize that for 1 year you get so much paper sent to you it's to much. Between the bank statements, advertisement, bills, misc. stuff  it's a lot of paper. This year I am getting rid of all of my paper that's not important. I make it a habit to shred my old papers for the new year. So that way I cam have a fresh start.

Thank god for my partners insurance plans for the ending of the year I get a lot of testing done and they are expensive. If it wasn't for his insurance plan I would be screwed. You must have good insurance that's a must a  word to the wise from me.

Thinking about getting a part-time job for 2020. either that or try and make $100-200 extra a month doing mystery shopping, selling on line etc. Thinking about what my next move as far as making money will be.

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. I got nothing really. My handyman called and told me that  my window for my rental's bathroom will be in by the first of the year. So nothing will get done until then. Just great hoping to have been finished by Christmas. Since Christmas is in a week and a half I have to get my tree which will be a poinsettia. Last time I seen a real tree was when I went to the store a couple of weeks ago. I stop putting up trees a along time ago. I like my red plant better. They last loner. I still have my poinsettia from last year and yes it's real. No plastic for me.

Nothing special this week which is a good thing for me. So that's my story what do you think?

That Much!!!

Hello all ...

Well here's the weeks' story. I need a new window for my bathroom . Since the bathroom window is old and it's stuck.  I asked my handyman to get a bathroom window to replaced the old one. He told me  with labor and a frosted window it would cost $600.  I said really???

He told me windows are not cheap. I knew I should have gotten the window when I had all the new windows put in the first time a couple of years ago. But my neighbor who is crazy was putting up a fight because I had to use her driveway to put the window in. Since my bathroom window faces her driveway. I didn't want to argue with a crazy women so I gave up. That was my mistake now it's costing me more. If I had done it the first time the bathroom window would have only cost me $250 and that's with labor.

My dumb mistakes cost me everytime.

Happy December

Hello all well here's the story so far. December 1th is here. Am I ready Heck No!  November has been a expensive month for me as far as buying stuff.  I am hoping that December will be better. I am trying to get a window fixed in my rental. My handyman said he could do it but I think because he has a lot of other jobs to do he's brushing me off. Which in return is pissing me off. I hate when someone says they are going to do something and then they don't let me know they can't do it.

Other then that I hope that everyone has a good December and a safe one.

Jackpot!

Hello all well here's the weeks story. Finally I got my check. Let me explain. When  I was working  for the city of New York they  messed up around Thanksgiving  in the 80's.  well really our  Union did . They were suppose to give each city worker a  free turkey but we never got it. So somebody took  our Union to court and a couple of years  later  we got $500 put in our name in to annuity. Not to be touched until we retired from the city.  I hate annuities but that's another story.  Anyway, I received  a  letter in September saying that if you are no longer working for the city which I am not.  I could get  the annuity  money. Which after all these years is about $1205.00. So I called they sent me the paperwork. I sent it back waited 6 weeks and the check came this week. I got $986.00 because my uncle Sam took his cut of $219.00.

I am grateful for the money. I told my partner now we can have a nice Thanksgiving dinner. He said no , put that money into a  bank cd or mutual fund with good interest rates to make money from it. He told me that's it's money I never would have had if  the union  did not mess up and get sued. So use it wisely. He 's right, besides we already have our thanksgiving meal planned, shopped and  it was cheap the way I like it.

Again!!

Hello all well here's this week story. Again I am being sued in small claims court. Why you ask? because my freaking tenant who damaged my place wants her $2000. security deposit back. I don't think so. She did to much damage where it's cost me money to repair it. Also she failed  give me proper notice of her leaving the property so I am going for her throat in court. Meaning I am  asking for $5000. Back rent, housing repairs you name it I am asking for it. I hate when people piss me off. I get mad and even!

More Money my Con Edison just sent me a letter stating that  I can not be on level billing plan  for my gas and electric which is cheaper because no one is living in  my rental property. So I am a non resident which means I will be paying more for my Con Edison. I called them they said I would have to have payed my Con Ed bill for 1 year before I go back on level billing.  Level billing  was  easier for me because each month I know how much my Con Edison would be now it's a crap shoot!

The things I have to deal with. I guess that's life right. So that's my story what do you think?

Happy & Tired

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. First I am tired of peeing in a cup( sorry if that's a little gross for you) But this month is nothing but doctors appt. Which I have to it pee in a cup for each appointment. After a while you get to be an expert at it.  I am glad that I am able to afford to pee in a cup or see doctors for my yearly check ups. Lord knows I am not complaining because some people are not able to  see doctors because they lack health insurance. Scary to even think about.

Happy because I have lost 10 lbs and didn't know it. Got on the doctor's scale yesterday and I was happy. I am trying to keep the weight loss going but my partner who is a sweet addict. Keeps bringing stuff in to the house like bags of candy , cake. I can't let him eat this stuff alone He's a diabetic. But we are both off sugar come Monday.  I have been known to throw out bags of candy and cookies just to get it out of the house.

Crazy  call myself trying to get a cheap ham for Thanksgiving.  I went to ShopRite and the cheapest ham I could find was $22.00. I left that ham in the store and settled for 4 turkey legs  the big ones for $5 a package. Works for me when it comes to Thanksgiving. I eat cheap!

That Month!

 Hello All..

Here's the story for the month .. It's that time again to decide Turkey or Ham? But first I have to get  pass all the doctors appts that I have for the month. Then I can decide which one for Thanksgiving? To be truthful I am going with the cheaper one. Whoever I can get on sale that's not a chicken I am eating for Thanksgiving.

This year it's going to be simple and cheap. Plus all the calories I really don't need. My rental is coming along. Hope to have a new tenant by Jan 1th. Reason I am waiting so lone is because my bathroom window needs replacing and my window man is busy right now, Hopefully he can get back to me before December.

 That's about it for my story So what do you think?

oh yea I forget to tell you I had Con Edison come read my rental meter for the month of October. Now no one is living there at the moment so my bill should be low. Wrong I paid them $160.00 October 1th for the month of September. Now they tell me I still owed them $33. What how is that when no one was in the home using anything  electric, gas, heat ? Don't you love how energy companies  take your money for no real reason at all?

Now that's the end of my story!  

Crazy

 Hello all well here's the story for this week. I  almost  lost my mind when I got a hospital bill that said $238,569.42 No lie. I had to do a double and triple take on the bill. My partner had surgery and the hospital bill came in for his one night stay. Mind you this is not the doctors' bill that's separate. 

I lost my mind but thank god his insurance paid the bulk of it . So we only had to pay $300. Because if I had to pay all of that bill. First think I was calling the hospital  to see how much they can lowered this bill to. Then I was going on a payment plan. which I would be paying this bill for the rest of my life . Really.

It is so important that you have medical coverage. In New York medical care is crazy expensive and my heart does out to the uninsured people who need medical attention with out insurance. I feel that we need universal medical care for all. People should not be dying because they can't afford medical coverage. That's crazy just like the hospital bill we got!

Cleaning

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. I am tired as all heck. I spent 2 solid days cleaning out my rental property.. I realized that cleaning is hard work. My hats go off to the women who do it everyday. I am talking that deep get in the corners and all cleaning. It's finished now comes the hard part.

Do I decide to rent my home for another year getting $2300 for the rent . The renters will pay for the gas. I will pay the property taxes and water bills. Or do I sell the house make a nice profit and run. I am sitting on the fence right now about that. Half of me just wants to sell it and take the money. The other half says no rent it for another year. Will let you know what I decide.

Returns I have purchased so much stuff from Home Depot  for my rental repairs. That I will be returning  a lot of stuff  back to them for a credit on my credit card. I  did not need as much stuff as I thought. I glad for that. 

Con Edison is offering rebated for energy saving appliances. I purchased a refrigerator which I hope to get $40 back on and a air conditioners  which I hope to get $25 back on. 

At this point anything I can get back I am grateful.

Warning

 

Hello all well here's this week story. Warning, Warning be careful when you buy trip insurance and I will tell you why. When I cruise I make sure to buy the trip insurance which cost me $235 extra. But for a peace of mind I am ok with that. The insurance is suppose to cover  any expenses that you have medical or trip cancellation for any reason. 

I canceled my cruise this month because of medical . The cruise cost $3500.00 for two people the cruise is giving me back $1700.00 Which leaves $1800.00 that the  insurance company was suppose to refund me. I filled out all the required insurance company papers. Even got a doctors note of why I canceled my trip and you know what happened right?  

The insurance company told me they denied my claim because of a pre-existing medical condition my partners has.  We canceled because my partner needed surgery which could not be put off. Really??? You know I am fighting this out with them right now. If I payed them the money to cover me then that's what they should do by refunded my money. They told me to contact my cruise they will give me some money back. I already know that!

Beware of cruise insurance they will rip you off! That's my story what do you think?

 

I Hate It !!!!

 

Hello all well here's the story  for the week. I hate going to the Home Depot by me. It's hot in there  and the employees are   always hiding when you need help. I had to make a few purchased in home depot this week. I had to purchase to bathroom vanities  they had them on sale for $50 bucks each. Which I needed to replace the two my rental tenant destroyed.  

So I when into Home Depot last week purchased the vanities and told them to hold them until this week. Went  to get the vanities today and guess what? They could not find them. Really??? It took them 1 hours to find my vanities and then one of their  employees  got an attitude  when  I ask for help to place them in my van.  The  employee said out loud "they don't pay me enough for this". All I could say was Really!! All this time the company had me waiting for my paid for stuff and now I get attitude.

I hate that store and I will be purchasing my stuff from Lowe's in the future.  Their customer service is way better then Home Depots. To me that is.

Don't Sleep

 

Hello all well here's the story for the week. Don't sleep on yard sales especially when you have things you need and retail prices are not getting it. Remember when I told you about my rental home. Well I needed something for it that the last tenant destroyed like window blinds, bathroom rugs.  Material to do minor repairs with. Well I got a few things at  yard sales for cheap compared to retail stores.   

I am trying to stay within a budget for my rental property  repairs. Since now I have to buy another refrigerator for my rental property. Did I mention I purchased one 6 years ago brand new.  Now I need another one. Which will cost me about $500 buck! I hate that they do not make things to last like they use to.  So that's why whatever  other things I might need If I can get  it cheap I will.

Besides that I got a letter in the mail saying that I could get the annuity from my old job before I get to be 65. I had to mail in some forms  I should be getting a check in a couple of weeks minus the taxes. I could use it. The annuity started out with $500 courtesy of our union and in 20 years it 's now $1000. I could have made more then that if they had given me the $500 back when they put the money in the annuity.  But I am grateful for it. It was money that  was given because the union screwed up. I will use it toward a cd to see if I can  get a better return on my money then the union did in the 20 years it had the money,

Not Me!

Hello all well here's the story for the week.. My partner had surgery this past Monday. I stayed in the hospital for about 10 hours. Thank god everything went well. After all was said and done I took him home on that Tuesday. Now I am playing nurse maid. I realize that it's not in my nature to care for people in this way. I will help you but I do have my limits. I know it sounds selfish. Maybe I am but caring for somebody who are  so needed is not in me to do.

I realize that I am not that person. I also realize that I have no patience for anybody or anything as I get older.Everything seems to get on my nerves nowadays. I blame it on all the medication I take but really it's just my personality.

 There is so much to do like clean my rental home, get a repairman to fix the problem in it, fix the refrigerator that now seem to be broke, deal with the last tenant , take care of my sick partner and deal with other financial matters all of this makes me want to scream.

But I keep remembering the saying that god does not give you more then you can handle. I guess he feels I an handle all of this I will let you know how I goes

Settled Down

Hello all well here's the story for the week. I am tired!! I went over the damage that was done to my rental and it's not to bad ( not like the picture above) In my rental yes things need to be cleaned, I do need a handyman for repairs and I might need a new  refrigerator if I can't repair the one in there  already. But overall if the cost comes out to less then $4000,00 I am happy.

I have a contractor who says he will do all the repairs plus the painting for $3500. This is with materials included. I will be billing the tenant for this plus her back rent. Here's the crazy part after the drama with the tenant , her daughter and the repair person the tenant come over with to fix the things she broke in the house  last Saturday. I almost had to call the cops  on the daughter and their so called fix it man.  They  threaten to sue me  by call housing court, their lawyers  the whole nine me . I am done with the tenant and her family.

The tenant had the never to call my house Saturday night  after all the drama saying that she knows another person who could do all the repairs that I needed in the house done. I gave her a chance and she messed it up , now I am fixing the house my way and billing her for it.

So much drama  so much work to be done , that's my story what do you think?

To Pissed Off!

 

Hello All well here's the story for the week. I am to pissed off!! My rental tenant calls me over the holiday weekend to tell me she moved out. What??? I asked her " when did you move "? She told me  the last week of August. She didn't give me a notice or anything she just snuck out and then called me after she was gone.

She told me she wanted to meet and return the keys. She knows she owes me for September's rent for failure to give 30 days notice. Make a long story short. My rental is a hot mess which her security deposit will not cover. I have to use my own money and sue her for it. Which I am going to.

Something I feel being a landlord doesn't fit my personality. I am to nice and I hate when people mess up my stuff. Well that's my story what do you think?

Hello All Well Here's My Weeks Story..

I think I told you that I am a diabetic type 2 and I try and do what's I need to so I can keep my sugar low. Which I sometimes fail at. Yesterday my doctor told me that I have high cholesterol  and I thought I don't eat that many eggs.   He told me that it's part of the diabetes . To me if it ain't one thing it's another with me and my health. The good thing is I joined a diabetes group on Facebook which helps a lot. 

I keep watching the phone waiting for it to ring with my tenant telling me her moveout date. I dread that call. Because for the next couple of months it's going to be crazy. My partner has to go into the hospital for surgery in September for a day. I am still searching for a new car I need one badly. I am also trying to plan a trip in October. Now with the tenant leaving soon. I have to find painters, yardman and who knows what else to get the rental home ready for. Whatever I decide to do with it. Crazy right!

Well that has been me week but I am blessed to have it. So what do you think?

To Darn Long....

Hello all well here's The story for the Week....

I lucked up and got Marvels Endgame from the library. Remember this is part two to  Infinity Wars. Anyway I watched it yesterday can I tell you that this was a 2 1/2 hour movie. Yes it was to long and to me  not as good as Infinity Wars. But it was free from the library so I can't complain to much.

Sad to say that  my tenant will be leaving me soon. I think she will be moving in October. Goodbye rent money. She has rented from me for 6 years and I was use to her rent check monthly. Now I have to get up off my lazy ass and clean the rental home, find painters, gardeners all in all I have to spend money. I hate spending money. Not sure what I will be doing once the house is empty. I might rent it again for another year or just sell it and get my money.

Atlantic City & Columbus Flea Market

Hello all well here's the story for the week. I hit two birds with one stone this week. I went to Atlantic City and I went to Columbus Flea Market.

Lets start with Atlantic City first the rooms for 2 nights cost me $51.00. They were comped so all I paid was taxes and resort fee for the two nights. The food was another story  I spent about $55 for two people for 2 days for lunch and dinner only which was not bad.  Our breakfast which I bring from home was  cereal, bagels, apples and milk. I bring my own coffee too. Atlantic city coffee is way to expensive.  

Gambling I spent about $485 for 2 days. I know that's a lot but it's better then what I use to spend on gambling which was $10000.

Gas and  misc. cost me about $170. That darn Walmart by my mothers in Jersey use to be cheap. I spent a lot of money with them this weekend. Darn you Walmart!!!

Columbus Flea market I was excited to go there but when I got there I was disappointed. Not  many vendors on a Saturday like it is on a Sunday and the stuff they was over priced junk. I did mange to go to the Quakers store and get some cookies and bread. I love the way they cook.  They put their foot in there food and the long lines shows you that they are doing something right.

After all of that running I am Home, Disappointed and Broke!

Hello All Well here's My Story For The Week..

First I am trying to sell my car which I had for over 20 years. I need a new one because I find myself putting more money then the car's worth  to  repair it. Even though I love  my car she got's go.  I was looking at cars and they cost upwards of $20,000. I need a nice car for about $5000,00. My partner says that's not happening.

Getting serious about my health. I keep telling my partner that I am turning from a swan to an ugly duckling . I am losing my hair, teeth, overweight, a diabetic , have fibroids problems along with moles on my face.  I pray each night  that's all I am getting as I get older.  I can live with my situation as long as I am taking it one day at a time certain things don't bother me. Right now I am dealing with my sweet addiction trying to lay off sweets so  I can manage my diabetes better.

In better new I am playing my trip to Atlantic City this weekend to visit family and the beach. I just need to get away put my feet in some water and thank god to be alive.

Don't Judge

   

Hello  all well here's the story for today Don't Judge! What I am  talking about is this... When I was walking up to my front door from coming back from errands .  A women  was on one of my neighbors steps handing out fliers. She then started to work pass me to give out the flier to the next home after mine. She never bothered to stop and ask if I wanted a flier. It was an advertisement for a reality company anyway. So the women who was working with her came running over to me from across the street and handed me a flier about the house she was selling around the block from mind. Ok I was dressed like I fell in to a ditch what can I say I like to be comfortable. 

But once the real estate lady got to talking she found out that I might look bum but I can hold my own  have  assets that might surprise her. Don't judge a person by what you see because if you do you might  lose a great opportunity. Because I was pass over the first time  by that real estate women's assistant  I don't know if I would do any business with her when I am ready. The real-estate lady herself was nice. But who knows. Just don't Judge people before you really talk to them.

Well here in New York for the last couple of days we have had a heat wave. Today is the worst. It feels like 100 degrees outside. So for this week nothing much has happen but me staying cool under the cool air.

Kill Spending

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. Spending all this money is killing me. Let's start with a new roof that I had to put on my rental costing me $7800. The house needed it. I had gotten ripped off from the handy man I used that came recommended from my facebook group. He got me for $300 because he was suppose to repair the cracks in the roof. He failed and the roof still leaked.

Food for two people for the month of June we ate $400 up in takeout and groceries. That's a lot for two people to eat. I wanted the food budget to be like $250. the most. I see what I have to do and that's cook more. Can I tell you I am not a big fan of cooking.

You a trip. The cruise people wanted their final payment for my October cruise that being $2000. I asked why do you want the trip paid off if it's month's away. They told me that they wanted to make sure people were coming. Thank god I have travel cancellation insurance just in case.

You see all this spending I did for this month makes a person want to kill their spending habits with a quickness. So what do you think?

Quite Holiday

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. It was quite for me. Even though it was the 4th of July weekend with all the noise I still had a quite week. Which that's good for me. Nothing special happened besides me running around to do mystery shops so that I can make my $30 a month quota for July. Which I have already and it's only the first week of July Yes!

I am also on the lottery fast which I will spend no money for lottery tickets this month . I failed already spent $13 for some tickets yesterday but I made $20 on my old tickets. So I call it a failure and a wash.

I love my yard sales but since this is the holiday weekend nothing going on . Which is good for me I have to much stuff anyway and I need to sell my stuff instead of getting more.

Scary Reality

Hello All  well here's the story for the week. I was at a yardsale this weekend and I over hear a women and her friends talking. The conversation went like this.

Yardsale lady  " I love this house but I have to move I can't afford to live here any

longer.

Her Friend. " I know if it weren't for my children giving me money I would be selling my house to.

Yardsale Lady. After my husband passed away the money was not there any longer and living in New York is to expensive, Especially if you have home expenses along with other things.

Her Friend. " I know. Who know what expenses your going to be hit with and not having the money is not an option sometimes".

You get the point living in New York is expensive and this is a lady in my neighborhood. So I know what she is talking about. If you lose  income living here you are in trouble. I think about this all the time. Especially for me because I have expensive medications that I have to buy and going back to work might not be an option for me any longer. These worries keep me up at night.

Birthday Weekend

                                              Hello all Well Here's the Story for this Week..

I have been lazzzzzy this week. Maybe because it's my birthday weekend and I just have no notion to do nothing. Makes sense right? My partner wanted to know what I wanted to do this weekend for my birthday. I am a simple women if I can clean  my house and get rid of some of this 1940's junk that is been laying around collecting dust for years I am find. I am on a get rid of it kick. I want a clean and almost empty home. That's all I want for my birthday. I told you I was simple.

I am happy that we got rid of an old air conditioner , now I just have to get rid of my old cars and other stuff that just sits around. I am even think about making my own birthday cake. Trying to save the money for my Bermuda trip in November that's why this weekend will be fun but cheap.

You Suck

Hello All Well here's the story For Today..

Yard sale/garage sales in my area  Suck big time. The people who are holding them lie in the first place when it comes to placing a yard sale ad ( most of them anyway). They tell you I have this and that and when you use your gas to  go see it. They have nothing that they advertised. They are selling stuff that really needs to be donated or thrown away in my opinion.

You just don't know how much gas money I have wasted running around looking at junk people are selling thinking its gold.

The prices let me not talk about the prices of yard sale stuff . They have gone up at least in my area of $1 or more. Stuff that I use to get for $1 is now $2-3. There are no more 50 cent and 75 cents tables like it use to be. Grant it I go for the fun of yardsaling but when you start selling junk at high prices it takes the fun out of the adventure. In my opinion.

So Much Money

 Hello all well here's the story for the week... So much money here it is the middle of June and I have already spent way to much money. Here's my spending breakdown.

$3500 deposit on roof repair for my rental

$160 for my mother birthday gift

$ 100 took my mother husband out for  dinner  for  his birthday  ( 4 people)

$ 50 for blinds for my rental home

$4800 for property tax when it comes this month

I can't spend anymore I am so over budget this month it's not funny. I am having a birthday this month and I am going cheap on myself to celebrate because of all the spending I have done so far. It's gotten out of hand. I hate to spend so much on stuff but what can you do it has to be spent in order to get the job done and the house not being taken away.

Pissed Off!!!

 Hello all well here's the story....

I was pissed off this week. I am trying to do my dollar a day challenge and how I do it is by mystery shopping.  So I had 2 chase shops that I did paying $12 each which would have been $24 for the day minus my gas to get there. I did the shops and entered the reports on the same day. So why is it that the next day I get a notice in my e mail  saying that the shops were not done. I said HUH???

What had happen was that I did the shops and forgot to submit them. I explained it to the company and they said Oh well you will not get paid for it. I was pissed. I spend my time and gas money and now you got two free shops from me. Ok, it might have been my stupid mistake but still you could have told me to resubmit the shops since I still had time on them. I hate mystery shopping for just this reason. These companies take advantage of you and  pay you crap when they do it.

I need another hustle to do my dollar a day challenge with cause I can see me and mystery shopping will be saying our goodbyes real soon.

Hello all How Are You Today?

Well here's the story for the week. First My tenant called me about a leek in the roof. I went over and saw that the roof needed looking at . I think I told you about how I fired my handyman because of this. Anyway I called a professional roofer in to look at it and he states that a new roof would cost me. I am still waiting on a estimate from his company but I know it will cost me about $10,000. Hey can I borrow.... ( kidding) The professional roofer stated that who ever did the roof the first time that was like 8 years ago did a terrible job. So now I have to pay for other people's mistake. I hate that!

 I could kick myself because, yesterday when I went into White Castle ( yes I do eat these every now and then) to order my burgers. I see people coming in with an App on their phones that gives them 8 free burgers. I wish I knew how to work my phone better so that I could get some free food to.

Blinds

Hello All...

Well here's my story for the week. First I don't like shopping in places like Home Depot and Lowes, But I have to go my tenant in my rental broke two blinds. How I don't know. Now I have  get some new ones and they are not cheap. I priced them at $25 bucks a piece. So I am spending about $50 bucks on something the tenant broke. I love it. You know I hate to spend money but I guess I have no  choice in the matter. She needs blinds for the windows right?

Feel ripped off again. I am going on a cruise in October. The cruise line offered a package deal  that comes with free beverages ( coffee not included) Darn I love coffee. Anyway the package was suppose to be free but when I got my new bill they charge me $225 for beverage service that I have not gotten yet. The beverage services are the tips that are not included in the packages. I would not be getting any beverage package if it was not for my partner wanting to try it. $225 for two people in services to drink some watered down drinks on a cruise. In my book it's not worth it.

Hello all  happy May. well here's  the story for the week. I had to fired  some people this week. I am ok with it because like my ma says people just don't want to work anymore.

1th Fired my gardener. he rings my bell trying to tell me that I owe him $350 from last year. For a fall clean up he did. He caught me so off guard that I told him to give me a bill and I will check it. Then he starts rambling on about nothing. After he left  I checked my bills that I payed  him. I already paid him for October clean up. He was trying to rip me off. I am sick of him anyway but this time He's fired. I hate people who try and take advantage of people.  There are to many other gardeners in the area that I could use to do the job he does for the same price. Or I will go back to doing it myself and my labor was free.

2nd Fired my rental home handyman. I call him up and tell him that the roof he fixed was leaking and could he fix it. He tells me that it should not be leaking and that I should coat my roof. Which he will gladly do for $3000. I tell him fix his work first and we will see. Then here come the excuses of why he can not do it right away. So I am going with a professional roofer and I am out the $350 I paid the repair guy to fix the roof the first time. He also missed out because I had more work for him to do but not anymore.

It's makes it hard for a Sista to get help now a days all they want to do is take your money and do nothing for it. They got the right one with me  I need my money I count my pennies and watch it like a hawk.

Can't Go Back Again

 Hello all  well here's the story for the week. I realized that I can not go back home again. I mean back to my childhood life. I was entertaining the thought a couple of weeks  ago that if I needed to I could go back to the house I grew up in since I am renting it out at the moment. But I took a drive  around my old neighborhood yesterday. The area has changed so much I don't want to go back. Long gone are the friends I use to hang out with replaced with new people and McMansion.  The new people  have taken  my  quite little community and made it crazy  with over building, not enough places to park, crazy stuff.   In that moment I  realized  it's time for me to move on to. I had moved on  I just
 thought I could go back ..

 I am mad   that  got a ticket in the mail yesterday for $25. It was a sanitation ticket that belonged to my tenant. She did not do the garbage right. which resulted in a ticket for me which she will be paying. In new York sanitation is no joke it's all  about money with them. They will look in your garbage cans on the curb and try to find anything just to give you a ticket.

I Am Done!

 Hello all well here's the story for this week. I am DONE!!  messing with 1800 flowers. First Mothers Day is this Sunday and I wanted to order my mother and my aunt a fruit candy basket for Mother Day.  Since I get all these discounts in my e mail from them like 20-25% off , Free shipping and no service  fee . I say what the heck it will save me money and I will get something nice for my mother and my aunt...

Now here's the pissed off part it took me 1 1/2 hours just to place the orders because the people who work for the company don't understand to well.  Once my orders are  placed I try and apply my discounts to them. 1800 flowers tells me I could not because they have expired. I told the women on the phone how can they be expired when it says for Mother Day which is not here yet and I just got the emails  today!  She told me that she would give me credit for the shipping but I could not use the 25% off coupon. Fine.

My total bill came to $135.00 for the two items. Which I know it's kinda pricey but hey I am ordering pears,  candy and other  fancy food stuff in a nice basket at $65.00 each. Anyway when I looked at the confirmation  for my order  one of the places  I was sending a basket to  has the wrong address was  I was Hot by then..

 This is what I wanted to do to  1800 flowers by now. I called the company back and  told them the problem.  They gave me   such the run around. They had me called Fed Ex so I can fixed the problem myself. They told me to do a whole bunch of crazy stuff to fix a problem they did.  I told them that  if my items are not delivered on time and in the right way. They will be hearing from my lawyer on this one and  I will report them to better business bureau and Yelp. Never again will I use or recommend this company. They suck!
