I Am So Greedy

Hello all well here's the story for the week. First Happy New Year! Hope 2021 is better then 2020. Now on to the story. I am so greedy I have spend  $1849.00 for the year on take out food. That's right I spent  that much for the year just eating out. It's a disgrace. I will do better in 2021 by cooking more eating out less. I find eating out now with everything that's going on that the food is not as good as it use to be. So why waste money on it right. You know what I could have done with that money?   I also spent $632 on gambling for the year. That's crazy and what have I won about $50 bucks. Darn you lotto I must quit you!

I have been  watching Downton Abby. You have to see this show from the beginning because it's crazy for the 1920's. There's  plotting, backstabbing, betrayal  almost like a soap opera but better. The family and the servants are a hot mess. I am hooked on this show. You can watch it free on Peacock. They have some good shows on there. Did I mention they are Free!

                                                         Hello All Happy Holidays.

Well here's the story for the week. Since 2021 is on Friday and today is Sunday I am starting my challenges early. I am doing the dollar really two dollar a day challenge. I am also trying to use coupons and save the money that I save from using the coupons.

I am trying to get my house ready for the new year meaning cleaning it up, organize stuff and  throwing away stuff which is my passion. I love to throw stuff away. Don't care if it still has the tags on it If I purchased it and have not used it in a year I throw it away or donate it.

So far it's been quite and I like it like that. On Tuesday I have the last of my test and it's on to a new year hope this one is better then the one we are leaving behind.

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays

Well here's the story since I have not spoken to you for a while. Thankfully everything is quite. No emergencies to deal with. I am just relaxing and getting my library stash of books I want to read ready for the holiday season.
I also keep watching to see when the new unemployment money will be delivered. The last check was this week for me and I was hoping that I would continue to receive my unemployment until March of 2021. But of course the person who I shall not mention is holding Everybody up!
It's so unfair that people who really need this money is not able to get it for the holiday season and might not get it for the new year. I tell you one person should not have all this power to control people livelihoods.
But this year and every year I give more then I get I don't believe in getting gifts I am a giver more then a receiver so I give as much as I can and then give some more.

So that's my story what do you think?

Hello all it's not even the end of the week and I get hit with craziness. First I get a bill from the oil company since I heat my house with oil Cost $506. Then I get hit with a maintenance contract that's another $250. Then guess what happens yep I got a plumbing issue again because the house I am living in is old and things break down. Now I know that bill will be about $300-400. So it's  crazy right. All these bills. Lucky I can cover them for now but what about later.

Let's not talk about my fear of not having enough money to cover my basic expenses in the future let alone right now. I have worry issues that's just me. Well wanted to keep you updated. when they say living in New York is expensive they are not lying

Not In The Mood

Hello all well here's the story for the week. The holidays are about 3 weeks away and I am just not feeling it. This year 2020 needs to be over so that people can go back to a semi-normal life wearing our mask of course. Being a women of a certain age I am over 55 ( ok satisfied) my thoughts are more focused on paying my bills, eating cheaply and maintaining my simple lifestyle. The last thing I am thinking about is getting people gifts and spending money. Knowing that in 2021 my house might need some work. I need a new car. Medical bills and drugs I have to buy might go up. And we already discussed my property taxes  the last time we talked. See why I am not in the mood to celebrate. To busy worrying about things that I can not control. So what are you doing for the holidays?

D**N This Is CrazY

Hello all well here's the story for today. I got my property tax increase  notice that will be due in January. Thankfully I don't owe them anything . If I had to pay it would have been like $35. Remember this is a property tax increase not the property tax itself. Which when it comes to paying  the full property taxes in June I will have to pay $9,000 for the house I live in and $5,000 for my rental property. Did I mention I live in High A** New York City. I remember when my property taxes use to be $7,000 & $4,000.

I was doing the math yesterday trying to get my budget ready for the new year and I realized that I need  $860 a month for the property tax on the house I live in and around $550 for the rental. Which will be on the selling block come 2021, Reason for that is  I am to scared to rent to anybody until they get this cure for  the Corona Virus. People are so behind in their rent right now  that the candidates for rental now and in the future  is slim to none. So what do you think will  happen in 2021 as far as  the rental market goes

So that's My story for now what do you think?
