Downsizing

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. It's time for me to let go. I have been collecting Barbie dolls for the last 5 years old and new ones. The last time I counted I had about 200. I realized that at this stage in my life collecting was fun but now it's time to get rid of them. Which I find it not as easy as collecting. I have a Facebook Market place listing. But I think that  every other Barbie collector is doing the same thing selling their collection on facebook market place. The competition for selling Barbie dolls is crazy. Thankfully I have my own online store to sell them at as well. 

I was worried now I am ok. My mother went in for surgery yesterday. Thank God  it went well. But I found myself worrying about it, but instead of being sad I got mad. I lashed out at my partner so much he just walked away and did not say anything to me for the rest of the day. I guess that's how I express my worries by getting mad. So that's my story for today what do you think.

Disappointed

  Hello all  here's' the story for the week. Let's start with disappointed. I could not wait to go back to a super Walmart in Farmingdale that's about 45 minutes from where I live. Last time I was there it was so amazing. I felt like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time. They had so much stuff  in a  giant store and  it was cheap. So I went back and what do I find shelves empty, freezer cases empty or broken, shoes and clothing shelves empty or all piled up in various corners  that workers have to get to.  The  prices had gone up on everything to.  Check out lines almost 30 minutes long. It was just a disappointment. I know now that I will not be going back. Its a waste of time and gas money.

Now the Walmart where my mother lives in New Jersey. Now that's a good place. It's a super Walmart  the prices are cheaper then the one in Farmingdale which is where I went. They have more of a variety of things that the other stores don't have and did I mention it's cleaner.

 I love Walmart shopping  and owning it's stock. Hey if I shop there why not get my money back in dividend payments. Right!

Good Times

  Hello All well here's the story for today. Yesterday I had a yard sale with other families on the block. It was fun and I met a lot of  nice people.  And by the way most of the people who came were wearing their mask even me. But I did notice that a lot of the buyers came with limited funds. Say no more then $20 dollars in their pockets. I didn't worry to much because most of the stuff that I was selling  was $1-3 dollars. I figure sell it or donate it. Might as well try  to get some money from it. I made under $100. But that was ok it beats making nothing at all. I will say with the yard sale we got a chance to  clean out the garage yesterday and clean up the back yard. So that's a win win for me. After all of that work yesterday I am to tired to do anything but the basic this Sunday.

 My neighbor had an old office chair that she was selling at the yard sale. We got it from her because my partner needed a new one. The neighbor wanted to give it to us for free. But we fussed and I managed to insist that she take $10 for the chair but I gave her an extra $10 because  her daughter feeds that stray cats in our backyard and I like to help her when I can with the cost of cat food.

How Long??

Hello all well here's the story so far. How long does it take to get a bathroom faucet and vanity. I ordered from this company in April and now it's  the end of May almost  and I am still waiting on the faucet. When I called the company they say that the people who make the item is backed up because of Covid-19 and  hopefully I will have my full order this month. Well before the end of this month anyway. Thank God I only gave them a deposit  of $50 and not the full amount. Just in case I need to cancel my order.

  

Yes that is me in the picture. I am having my 1st yardsale since we are back in action after Covid-19. I will still be wearing my mask.  I am trying to get rid of a lot of stuff for cheap. What I don't get rid of I throw out or give to  Savers. I love going to yardsales but finding out that I had just as much junk as I am  look for  in yardsales. Made me think it's about time for me to make money on my own junk instead of buying somebody else's junk

Can I Borrow..

  Hello all well here's the story. Can I Borrow $1000 from you every month? I promise to pay you back when I can. Here's why I need it. I wanted to figure out in retirement  my living expenses on two homes that I own. So I did the math. The house I am living in now is way more expensive then the one that I rent out. Which now I am not renting to anybody  I am looking to sell it because of this Virus and people back up in there rent. I really don't trust anybody to pay my rent on time. But anyway that's another story.

So I did the math on both homes and to stay where I am living at now I would need an extra $1000-$1500 a month. My income will not cover all my basic housing expenses for the place I am living in now. If I live in my rental it would only cost me about $800-$1000 extra. But to tell you the truth. I like the neighborhood that I am living in. The  house needs work which is an expense within itself. It's two big for one person but  I like the area and the surrounding area. Thinking about getting a condo later on if I stay in the neighborhood. So how about that $1000 can you lend it to me?

Right now  I am  looking for ways to boost my income to cover  my expected expenses, But as we all know things do change in life. So we will see what happens.

Check It

  Hello all well here's the story so far. First Happy Belated Mothers Day. I had to get my car fixed by our mechanic this past week. After he finished  working on my car  he handed me a bill which  I didn't look at  until I got home. The bill was $100 which $50 of that was labor cost  Which was crazy to pay that much for labor. Anyway my mechanic charged $25 to  put oil in my car which I had already done.  I told him he over charged me. He said sorry and the next time I came in I would get credit for the mistake. This is why I tell people to always check their bills. A lot of companies  are trying to overcharge you to make up for the money they missed out on during  the Covid-19 lock up. Just be care and check. No matter what bill it is grocery, drugstore, clothing, check it.

 I am not going to lie I missing cruising. Seeing  sunsets like this over the water is beautiful. Makes you apricate life a little bit more. I probably will not be back cruising until 2022 if I am luck. But I will be saving my money for when that time comes.

Pension

 Hello all well here's the story for today. I am trying to get my act together when it comes to my pension. I have worked in a few places. My two main places that I spent a long time was Macy's for 10 years and the City of New York  for 20 years. But Macy's owes me a pension. So I called to see what was going on with that.

The person I spoke to said that they would send me a package and once I filled out the papers I should get my pension from Macy's in 1-2 months. Not so fast while waiting for that pension package. I  a get  call from the pension division of Macy's stating that  I am not eligible for my pension which will be a annuity of about $70 monthly  when I get to be 65. She stated  when the time  comes they will send me the package. 

I was excited at first knowing I can get at least one of my pension but I guess I have to wait until I get 65. For my big $70 annuity from Macy's. Hope they are still in business by then.
