Hello all, well here's the story for the week. Surprise Surprise. I got a check in the mail from the state that claims it's helping the people beat inflation. It was $400 and a welcome surprise. I heard about the state giving money back, but I didn't expect it so soon. Also, I went gambling yesterday for fun and with a budget of $200. I won some money, so that was a surprise because the place I usually go to gamble takes your money or cheats you with the wins. For example, say you bet 80 cents and a good combination on the slots comes out, you might, if lucky, win $1 or 50 cents. My partner kept saying he won 16 cents on an 80-cent bet. Crazy right. You're really losing to win, see.Anyway, I was grateful for the surprises that I received this week, money-wise. Now I can pay for my admission into the grocery store. Oh, didn't you know it was a club and you had to pay admission to purchase $100 of food in one bag when it used to be 3-4 full bags. Know you know. Also, I got my oil delivery bill. I can pay for that since that will cost me around $560 for half a tank of oil. I think I'm paying $4 a gallon.
Well, anyway, Halloween is coming up. What are your spooky surprises that you might be expecting?
