Dumpster Diving 2020: Our BIGGEST Haul EVER!!!!

                   

                               

         Hello all such a waste  of good food. I watched this video and got mad and jealous all at the same time.😮. All that food that's being dumped because they had a ice storm in Kansas  and the power went out. So the store told the couple that anything in the freezer for 45 minutes or longer with the power being out the stores has to throw it out. Is that crazy. You would think that they would donate it to the churches or food pantries. Watching this makes me not want to shop anymore if that's where most of the food is going . I should start dumper diving. But living in New York it might be a little tricky. Our laws are more stricter then other states.

Cheated

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. I was cheated. You know that I do mystery shopping and one of the shops was paying $10 When the check comes in it's for $7. I called the  mystery shop company and they have the nerve to tell me that the shop only paid $7. Your really trying to cheat me out of $3 dollars? I argued with them and you know I lost right.

Thanksgiving is in 9 days and I am ready for it to be over with. My dinner will be small and expensive.  Have you seen how much the grocery stores are charging for food. It's crazy. I try to find things I need on sale & 10 for a dollar deals. I still walk out of the grocery store having spent $100. I read where a women said she came out of Walmart having just spent $100. What is this world coming to when you need a part-time job along with your full-time job just to eat.

Scary Stuff

  Hello all well here's the story. Scary Stuff Again!!! First scary story I just got a bill from my insurance company stating that the hospital that I had a medical procedure done  in July  will cost $11,000. Which I hope they pay for. They stated in the latter like they always do that the hospital might send me a bill for the services. Then what do I have insurance for if they can't pay this bill. Hello hospital if I have to pay. I am going on the $5 a month payment plan until it get's paid.

2nd Scary thing I just purchased Pfizer stock for $40 a share. Cheapskate me only purchased 4 shares costing me $156.00 through E trade. I use that company to purchase what I call my fun stocks cheap. Like casinos, Walmart, jetblue. Stocks that I would like to have but can't afford so I purchase them cheap through e trade.  If this stock goes up I will be happy if it goes down I am a loser. But at least it won't be a lot of money I lose. Beside I purchased the stock from the money I was getting from dividends from the other stock that I own.

Emergency Fund

 

 Hello all  here's the story so far . You need an emergency fund. Here's why. My bathroom sink has been leaking small drops for about 3 weeks. It was driving me crazy. I finally decided to get a plumber into look at it. Why is the repair costing me $850 dollars. He's giving me  new faucets and pipes underneath the sink. But really that much? Lucky I have been saving my money because where is there to go to spend money ? With  Covid 19 always popping up doing damage to people. This money I am using  would have been for my 7 day cruise to Bermuda  which I canceled a while ago. Guess somethings are more important then others.

It's only the first week in November and I am already worried that I will not make my $60 quota for the month. Since the mystery shopping companies are flaking on me and selling stuff is crazy slow. I know I have 3 weeks but I still worry.

Is It Over

  Hello all well here's the story for the week so far. Is it over?? The elections I am so tired of all of this but yet I am proud to. Because there was so many people  coming out to vote. It made me  proud that this election was so important to  people that they  stood in line for hours to vote. I voted  I did it early by mail in ballot. 

 In other news. I think  I might get cheated out of $18 dollars. Here's why. I did a mystery shop for $18 when I  went to the place to do the shop it was closed until Dec 3. I reported that back to the mystery shop company.  They told me I should have checked before I went to the  shop. No you should never have put the shop on the board for people to do if you knew it was closed. How about that!!. So they might not pay me for the shop. I had another shop that I was going to do for them but the  wait time was about 1 hour. I walked out and cancelled the shop not worth it waiting for an hour for $18 was I wrong? 

 I got a notice from Con Ed that I have to have someone come in to my rental home   to check their gas meters. They leave me a card to call . After calling for 2 weeks I finally got  an appointment. For Sunday between 8-11. Mind you this is a 15 minute check and I have to spend my Sunday waiting on Con Edison. Which  they can be slow as molasses at times. Thank god it's only a once a year check.
