Starting Aug 4th I am in class. I found a free class on network marketing that starts on the 4th and stops on Aug 8th.  Thanks Event Bright for the free class.

Paying Attention

 

Now that I am retired from my job some might say. I am really starting to pay attention to my food bill. I went grocery shopping yesterday and I spent $108.00 on food, no meats just the basic stuff. I cried knowing that I can no longer not pay attention to food prices. Since I don't have a paycheck coming in  any longer and I am living off my savings which is about $3000. I know you asking me how can I leave a job with $3000 in the bank. Well  my basic needs are met a house, transportation and my basic bills like heat, electricity is pay for all by my partner. But I am not depending on him to live my spirited frugal lifestyle. I am own my own to make my own $$ and to use that money to do my own thing like start a business , get my hair and nails done, gambling or retirement savings  . So to me he's here but really not here know what I mean? I do not want to depend on him for the things I want to do. Hey I have been working since I was 14 years old I know how to go out and hustle when I need to. So getting back to what I was saying Food is an area where I am cutting back on. I will keep you posted how it goes....

Trying To Make a Dollar

Had a yard sale this weekend. Made $100 bucks for 2 days. It was a lot of work and I got a chance to get rid of some stuff so I am happy. Monday starts my official day of no working no more. Let you know how it turns out.....

Freedom Is Sweet!

 

This was my last day at work. There were smiles, congrats and some tears all from my co workers. As for me  the day was long I could not wait to leave so much so I left an hour early. Now it's time to rest tonight because tomorrow I am having a yard sale. Always looking for ways to make $$$

Three Days

 

 Three days left until I am not working and I am truly on my own when it comes to making money. Oh don't get me wrong I have money saved for a while. But I really don't want to touch it if I can help it. My bills are paid by my partner and the rest of the things that we need. So what I make money wise is mind to keep.

I have started a bonanza booth selling all my dolls. I am also looking into selling on  ebay and having a garage sale this weekend to make money and decluttered my life. Oh well I will keep you posted on how that went. I am not going to lie I am afraid of being a free frugal spirit but yet I can't wait to see if I can make it one my own. Heck it beats what I was doing at my job which was nothing exciting but it paid the bills. Now as the song goes it's time to make it on my own... wish me luck....

Next To Last Paycheck

 

It's scary to think that I only have one more paycheck and then no more. My next to last paycheck was for $280. For 2 weeks. I normally make more but I have been out a lot from my job and I did not get paid for it. Am I scared of what my future holds--- Yes but am I ready some what it's scare quitting a job you had for 19 years to venture into the unknown. But i have prepared for it for 19 years by saving my ass off. So financially I am ready I just have to buckle down and really be frugal. Which I am learning how to be now. I know it's all a mind thing but my mind is saying it's not ready to be frugal. Besides that I had to leave my job it was effecting my health I am a diabetic and my numbers stayed high while I was working Since I will no longer be working the stress and   commute ( takes me  2 hours to get to work) along with .bad eating habits will be replaced with healthy  eating stuff , bike and no stress. So I Hope!

What If.......

 

Now that it's getting closer to my last days on the job. My last day is next Friday. I am starting to worry that what if I can not get a part-time job in my area or close to it? what if I can not make it on my $200 a month allowance ( my partner pays all the bills thank god) what if  I miss working and want to go back? All of these what ifs. But on the plus side what if I find something that I truly enjoy doing and I can make $$ on it. What if i start realizing that now I have the time to do what I want to do like travel and spend time with family and friends. What if  I  really enjoy being a Frugal/Free spirit. All these what ifs.. I will let you know how they turn out...

Making Money.....

 

I have been reading a few blog post about buying real estate to make money. I was thinking about it. But being from NY the real estate here is expensive and the upkeep is just as expensive we are talking about taxes and insurance. I was playing with the idea of looking for cheap property outside of NYC say like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Baltimore. Places that would be cheaper in housing in comparison to New York. My only problem with this idea is that I am not sure I want to spent the money to purchase a house that would leave me with little cash to live. Let's not forget that if you get a tenant from hell you will have to or shall I say I would have to travel a couple of hours to deal with the hell tenant. To be truthful  with myself I am kinda lazy when it comes to dealing with things in a timely manner and people in general. But that is just one thought  I had on how I  can  make money while I am  working on being  Spirited, Frugal & Free. 

Just 2 weeks....

In just 2 weeks I will really be free from my stressful and boring job. I know that at this time in my life I am in my 50's that it's crazy to leave a City job since they are so hard to get. But my reason is if you have been sitting still for 19 years with little money and no advancement to show for it, Why stay?? I am more anxious, excited and more alive knowing that I only have 2 weeks to work then I have ever been in the last year. I realize that it's a challenge to leave a job with no money prospects and a hope wing and prayer  but I am ready for the challenge to do something different with the rest of my life. Hopefully it will be more interesting then what I have been doing for the last 19 years. Now to work on a budget and start my no spend days..... 

Free Samples

                 

I am now looking for Free Samples. I was reading a blog the other day about a women who supplemented her disability check with free samples. This is a good idea. So I went to a few free sample sights and orders some stuff. What I have gotten so far in free samples from the pass where.

Free coffee& tea packets

Free lotions

Free sanitary pads

free cough drops

free packet of  allergy  medication

Now I have sent away for more stuff , Hey it's free and keeps me within my budget of $100. a month. So what have you gotten free??
