Happy Holidays

  Happy Holidays . Well, here's the story for the week. Is it me I am just not feeling the holidays this year. Maybe because I have a lot to do next year, and I want the year of 2025 to start already. I have a few goals that I want to accomplish. Like downsizing. I used to do flea markets, sell online (still do that) and church fairs. That was like 2-3 years ago. When it was getting to hard, I stopped but still have a lot of the inventory that I use to sell. So, I am giving bargain prices just to get rid of the stuff and it's a lot of stuff to. I delt in mostly vintage toys and dolls and kind of got carried away with the buying process. So, yea I have a lot of stuff to get rid of.

Also did I mention that my rental home is now under contract. yea! I got close to the price I was asking so I was good with that. I look at it like this I am saving $10,000 a year on the upkeep of the house. Since I'm not renting it and it's just sitting there not making me any money. Besides all that. I'm getting older and really don't want to be bothered with tenants anymore. So, it's a win win for me.

You know I am a cheapskate if not I am.  I wanted to use 1800 flowers to send gifts to a few families and friends, but when I called, I waited online for almost an hour and half and still nobody came to the phone. So, what I decided to do was take the money I would have spent with 1800 flowers and make my own gift packages to the people I was going to send them to. So that's what I did. It was cheaper and easy. all except during the holidays people are driving crazier than normal. So be careful out there this holiday season.

What Can I Say?

  Hello all well here's the story so far. What can I say it's cold in New York and I am trying to find my purpose for 2025. I know one thing my rental house should have sold before I have to pay property taxes again in June.  When the rental property is sold, I will be saving almost $10,000 in upkeep on an empty house. No more worrying about shoveling snow property repairs all of that gone on the rental home. Thank God.  I've had the home for a very very long time lived in it then rented it out. It's time for it to go. I meant to ask how was your Thanksgiving? I told you about mine. It's good to see family because you never know when you might not see them again. So, take advantage and spent the time with them while you can.

As far as little stuff nothing too much to tell. Except I am not really feeling the holidays this year. I just want them to come and go. So, I can start on my goals for 2025. Is it me but has 2024 gone by in a flash of light? So, what are your plans for the holiday anything good? Well, I hope that your 2025 is better than 2024 I sure mine will be.

Oh, almost forgot to tell you I got a bill for labs that I had done. It was for a big 84 cents. Would you have paid that bill or just let it slide. Let me know.

Week Vacation

 Hello all well here's the story for the week. I spend a couple days for thanksgiving in Atlantic City and some with family. I will tell you the Atlantic city part. The town was like a ghost town not too many people there gambling. The gambling itself was ok nothing to write home to mom about. You were losing more than winning. also, the food there sucks to expensive and bland tasting. We even went to hard rock casino buffet and that was a variety of bland food for $43 bucks for two people. Normally it was $43 for one. The food was still not worth $10 in my book. 

The hotel room was nice, but it smelled like a wet dog when we entered it. I had to call housekeeping to get the room refreshed other than that it was a larger room then what I was used to and that was nice. The best part was that the room for 4 nights only cost me $170 which was even better.  Around this time a couple years ago I use to get free entertainment(shows and comedy) this year the casinos gave you nothing free Not even the drinks were free you had to pay $5 in the slot machine before you could even get a drink. Crazy right?

 It was almost a free getaway, so I can't really complain that much, and I did get to see family and that's why I was really in Atlantic City in the first place.  So how was your holiday?
